  • The real reason work feels so frustrating Jul 8, 2026

    Niki Lomibao

A lot of workplace frustration isn't actually caused by difficult people, unrealistic expectations, or too much work. It's caused by a lack of clarity. When expectations aren't clear, priorities keep changing, feedback is vague, or decisions happen behind closed doors, our brains fill in the gaps. We make assumptions, second-guess ourselves, and try to figure out what we're "supposed" to be doing.

  • A few phrases that quietly make you sound less confident at work Jun 19, 2026

    Niki Lomibao

A lot of us were taught to communicate at work in ways that actually make us sound less confident. Not because we don’t know what we’re doing. Not because we aren’t capable. But because we’ve been conditioned to soften everything we say so we don’t come across as “too much.”

  • You don’t need to sound louder. You need to sound clearer. May 18, 2026

    Niki Lomibao

There’s a piece of career advice that sounds helpful but usually isn’t: “Just be more confident.” What does that even mean? Speak up more? Be more assertive? Act like you know what you’re doing? Most people I work with don’t have a confidence problem. They have a clarity problem.

  • You’re not stuck. You’re undecided. Apr 7, 2026

    Niki Lomibao

Most people who tell me they’re “stuck” in their careers aren’t actually stuck. They’re undecided. They’re circling the same questions. So they research. They vent. They update their resume. They close the laptop. They tell themselves they’ll think about it next month. And months pass. Sometimes years.

Have you ever noticed how the words you use shape the way you experience your day? Sometimes, it’s not the situation itself that weighs us down - it’s the language we attach to it. A single word can make something feel heavy… or empowering.
