Pete SherbaEXECUTIVE CHEF
- As printed Peter Sherba attributes his love for the culinary arts to growing up in his family's jersey shore restaurant business. Whether it was washing dishes, bussing tables or tossing pizzas, he fell in love with it all. After high school, Pete made his love for the industry a career at The Mainland Restaurant near Long Beach Island, New Jersey. Working along side of his uncle, Pete spent the next four years learning how to develop flavors and appreciate the fresh local seafood and produce the jersey coastline provides. After moving to the Philadelphia area, Pete spent the next eight years furthering his culinary skills, learning the fiscal and managerial side of the industry as owner/operator of Lee's hoagies, purchasing the iconic Philly steak and hoagie spot from restauranteur Kevin Clibanoff in 1999. In 2007 Pete and Kevin would cross paths again, this time Pete would serve as Kevin's executive chef at Bridgets Modern Steakhouse in Ambler. Pete spent the next five years overseeing the kitchen at the Ambler neighborhood gem until being tapped to lend his talents to reopening of The Blue Bell Inn in 2014. Pete redesigned the kitchen and overhauled the menu to pay tribute to the history of the long time institution, while at the same time putting a modern spin on some of the classics. In 2016 The Blue Bell Inn acquired nearby Meadowlands Country Club, now renamed Bluestone Country club. For the past two years Pete worked to bolster the country club's food program by introducing the same standard of quality dishes and ingredients that has made The Blue Bell Inn a must visit in Montgomery county. + − Leaflet OpenStreetMap Contact us: by phone (215)-646-2010, by email info@bluebellinn.comPublished by the company · confirmed Oct 3, 2026, 5:08 AM UTC

Scott DoughertyOWNER / PROPRIETER
Roles
- As printed Scott Dougherty began his working career at the Blue Bell Inn in 1990 as a bus boy. He soon became a waiter and a bartender before resuming the position of maitre d' Manager by 1992. Scott managed the front-of-house operations for the next decade while learning the hospitality industry from beloved BBI legend, Jack Friel (GM), as well as the legendary Lamprecht family, who had owned the Inn for the previous 65 years! In 2004, Scott's new path led him to work with Ambler pioneer, Kevin Clibanoff, where they successfully opened Bridgets Modern Steakhouse with Scott as the general manager and later as their operating partner. Together Scott and Kevin, along with an amazing staff, created one of the area's best restaurants-one that no doubt helped begin the restaurant evolution in the town of Ambler that today features numerous high quality establishments. In 2012, Scott found his way back to where it all started for him by teaming up with real estate developers and longtime 'regulars' Bruce and Judi Goodman. Together they purchased the Blue Bell Inn and shortly after began a sixteen-month, multimillion dollar renovation and overhaul of the historic restaurant, which reopened in 2014. Today the beautiful and now modern inn is once again the premier dining destination in Montgomery Country and is a model of class, style, and consistency. In 2016, the same trio also purchased the neighboring property, Meadowlands Country Club, and executed a similar redesign, renovation, and rebranding. In April of 2017, the new Bluestone Country Club and the Country House at Bluestone premiered. Today, Bluestone is one of the hidden gems in the area with its fantastic, natural 'setting' golf course and private member clubhouse. The Country House is quickly becoming the 'go to' event venue with the ability to hosts parties up to 320 guests. Today, Scott and his wife Colette reside locally with their three children: Liam, Aidan, and Addison. Ironically, Scott met Colette in 1994 when he hired her at the Blue Bell Inn as a bus girl/hostess. Currently, Colette teaches 6th thru 8th grade at the local parish of St. Helena School in Blue Bell.Published by the company · confirmed Oct 3, 2026, 5:08 AM UTC
